I had the opportunity to review the giveaway item: Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette

My Review: The brand Coastal Scents has a reputation that outshines and outmatches all its competitors. When most girls talk about palettes, the name Coastal Scents will probably come up. I’ve always wanted to try one of their multitude of wonderful eye palettes, so I was stoked when I received the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette. Opening the 9″ x 6.5″ size case, I was entranced by the rows and rows of colors that were individually unique yet together a perfect rainbow of warm sunset-like hues. I had to try it.

It was love at first swab. The rich pigmented colors seamlessly glided on my eyelids and blended beautifully. I was amazed by how easy the process was. Usually, with other eyeshadows from drug store brands, I have to spend ten minutes blending, another five minutes fixing the imperfections, and additional minutes reapplying the eyeshadows that fade throughout the day. With the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette, my makeup regiment took only several minutes in the morning, and more importantly I never had to reapply throughout the day! How brilliant is that?

I foresee myself using all the colors in this palette. While I am fond of bright summer colors, I am conservative in my style of fashion and makeup. In most days I have on just black eyeliner and mascara. In special days I go “wild” with brown or golden eyeshadows. And I think a lot of girls share my taste. Natural is definitely ”in” and has been since last year. I feel like this palette is personalized for me and girls like me who like the natural look.

This palette pretty much is ideal for any season. I plan to use the earthy peach and stone colors for the summer, the many shades of brown for the fall, the rich plums and silver blues for the winter, and camo greens for spring.

For such great quality eyeshadows, I am honestly shocked that the palette only cost $14.97. I really hope you guys try this palette out. It only cost several dollars, so why not? I have been addicted to this palette since I got it, and I think you will love it too!

My Review: The packaging when the products arrived was fantastic. Each product was carefully wrapped in colorful tissue paper. It was super adorable and I was keen to try the products out.

The Facial Cleansing Brush came in the Bee Pollen Skin Care with the Nectar Face Cream and the Balancing Toner, but I actually preferred using the brush with the Gentle Cleansing Gel. By using the soft bristles of the brush, I was able to scrub my face thoroughly clean. I prefer this brush to the Clarisonic because I get to control the motions. Also, the brush is small enough to tackle any section of my face, including around my nose and my mouth. The Gentle Cleansing Gel is a fantastic product for removing oils and other impurities. After using this cleanser, my skin felt smoother and more refreshed!

After washing my face with the Gentle Cleansing Gel and the Facial Cleansing Brush, I used my finger to apply the Soothing Eye Gel. Because of my newborn daughter, I have been sleeping at most five hours a day. The bags under my eyes are becoming more pronounced. Using the Soothing Eye Gel for several days, I could already tell the difference. This gel is an advanced under-eye treatment that tackles and corrects the puffiness under my eyes and makes me look more rested.

Afterwards, I used the Nectar Face Cream. This is by far my favorite product in this review. Bee Pollen Extract is fantastic for your skin, and I could definitely see the ingredient work when using this Nectar Face Cream with Bee Pollen. I often moisturize my skin after shower and I have tried many different moisturizers. Since I am picky with my moisturizers, I was hesitant to use this face cream, but this hesitation quickly changed into delight. This Nectar Face Cream is the perfect medium between thick and thin. When you dab your fingers into the cream, you feel the richness of the product. After using this for several days, I notice a big change in the texture of my skin. My skin felt softer and brighter.

I finished off my skin care routine with the Balancing Toner. Many people skip the toner in their skin care routine, but I think this is a mistake. Your skin has a PH balance, which the toner replicates that balance and evens the PH level throughout your face. Heed my advice when I say that using toner will make a huge difference on your skin. Every toner is a bit different, but what is so special about the Balancing Toner from Princess Livia is the problems that it tackles. Not only does your skin heal and balance your skin PH, this toner also moisturizes your skin, protects your skin for premature aging, and clarifies your skin! Using this toner just made me feel so clean and refreshed.

All the products have that no-scent smell. I love this “scentless” fragrance. I tend to not like facial products that have overly powerful scents.

For skin care, the prices are very affordable and the results are fantastic.

Jaebum Fangirl had the chance to review many of One’s products!

Natural Body Soap (Blast from the Past) – The smell to this is to die for! The fruity scent made me want to use this soap over and over again. I even spent literally five minutes sniffing the soap in pure fruity bliss. After using this soap, my face felt clean and fresh. It does a great job is cleaning away impurities and makeup residue.

Natural Body Soap (Extra Virgin) – I think I have fallen in love with One’s Natural Body Soaps. Both this one and the Blast from the Past body soap are fantastic. The smell is just brilliant. The product is called “Extra Virgin – pure olive oil soap,” but I mostly smell a fruity scent that I cannot place. After using this all over my body, my skin felt so clean and fresh. The natural and fine ingredients made me feel refreshed. Honestly, I have never used soap better than this one.

After Shower Skin Conditioner Bar (Sleeping Beauty) – To be honest, I am not a huge fan of conditioner bars in general. This is not to say that you will not like this. I personally do not like using lotion or conditioner bars on my body. I mostly moisturize my face, hands, and feet only. Because I like to keep the rest of my body dry, I do see myself using this After Shower Skin Conditioner Bar. So, I decided to give this to my mother instead, and she loves it. She said that the natural oils relaxed her dry skin and, in the morning, her skin felt significantly smoother. I recommend this for people with dry skin.

Hand and Body Lotion (Cloud 9) – One my favorite that I received. This lotion is fantastic for those who want a moisturizer that blends into the skin and leaves no lasting residue. The scent is barely noticeable, which I greatly appreciate. I tend to not like fragrance body products. I also love the packaging of this lotion. It comes it a large tube that will last for a very long time.

Lip Butter Balm (Honey Cream) – Best lip balm…ever! I love this and it smells fantastic. I have large lips, so I have to constantly use balms to keep my lips from cracking. I literally have a box full of lips balms. Out of all my balms, this honey cream is probably one of my favorite. My lips feel moisturized. My lips don’t crack and dry up. And my lips has a nice glossy shine that highlights my natural pink lip color.

Lip Butter Balm (Coco-coconut) – If you love coconut, this lip butter balm is for you! I personally am not a huge fan of coconut, but I still love this lip butter balm. It simple works. It moisturizes and heals your lips without feeling sticky or oily. I have been using this and the honey cream balm almost every day after a shower.

Lotion Massage Bar (Oh, my gosh!) – This is another product that I gave to my mother. Because she is a fan of oils and moisturizing butters, it was the perfect present for her. Since her skin is really dry, especially around her ankles, this Lotion Massage Bar was a lifesaver. She kept on saying, “Oh my, this is brilliant,” when the bar blended into her skin and helped relax the tension of her muscles and soothed the dried skin. Although the fragrance was a bit strong for me, my mother loved it. I am not a fan of body oils and butters, so my opinions are a bit bias. I think this is still a great product and my mother can attest to that.

Hydrating Facial Masks (Cucumber Aloe Calming Mask and Nighty Nite Tonic Hydrating Mask) – This is simply one of the best facial masks that I have tried. My face is normally very ruddy, especially around my cheeks. After using this mask for an hour, almost all the redness on my skin calmed and faded. I felt so refreshed and renewed. The mask sheets are designed to fit any face shape and size. Because these facial mask comes in packs, it is so easy to use because you just open the pack and dispose of it afterwards. You can take this to trips, vacations, or a sleep over to a friend’s house. The scent is nice and unassuming.

Hydrating Facial Masks (Cool Eyes!) – Probably one of the most interesting products that I have seen in a while. Inside the package are two round pads over my eyes. The coolness of the cucumber and chai instantly relieved my eyes. After 20 minutes, I removed the pads, washed the pads, and put them back inside the pack. There is enough product inside the pack for several usage. Just remember to wash the two pads every time for hygienic reasons. This facial eye pads made my eyes feel refreshed and renewed.
