{Spotlight} Etsy Giveaways

One of my favorite blogs out there is Etsy Giveaways ~
Etsy Giveaways was founded by PurrPrints, in August of 2008, who was quickly joined by TagsandButtons. Both giveaway addicts, they designed the blog to scratch an itch that had been bugging both of them: finding an easier way to discover all the great handmade and independent giveaways out there. Tags also began a sister site, IndieDiscounts, that lists sales going on in the indie community the same way they list giveaways here. Tags decided to move on to other things, and the wonderful and amazing Lu of CrochetedLittleThings has taken her place, both as the post manager here and the owner/operator of IndieDiscounts. She’s the person to talk to about volunteering as a poster.
I love Etsy shops, so I tend to seek Etsy giveaways. Instead of the commercial mass-made products from big corporations, items from Etsy were made by the love and care of normal everyday people. I think Etsy makers deserve more spotlight and adulation!
{Spotlight} Kemal Kamil AKCA

I was browsing through deviantart when I came across something magical that I just had with my readers. This magic is an artist named Kemal Kamil AKCA. Check out his deviantart page: cikolatali-waffle
When I look at his artwork, I first don’t know what to think: is it a painting or a photograph? Maybe a little of both. Either way, there is a delicate beauty to his work that makes me want to know the story behind the simple moment caught in time.
Peace+Silence+Cool of Fall

This is my favorite season! I wallow in the cool breeze, but hate the snow of the winter, so the fall season is perfection. I wish there was a place in the world where the east coast fall was year around~
